This is the sixth annual programme of general steam in the Ivo Peters Collection – the usual mix of main and branch lines on British Railways, followed by working steam on industrial lines. Initially we visit several main line locations including Mangotsfield, Chipping Sodbury Tunnel, Charlbury Troughs, and Westbury. In addition we see branch lines such as the Hapsworth quarry line near Frome. There is a brake-van ride over the Cromford & High Peak line, including some extra shots taken on the last day of operations in 1967, Ivo’s final visit to Swindon to see “Pendennis Castle” being handed over, and the first half concludes with a series of unpublished shots on the S&D.

The industrial half of the programme visits NCB collieries at Norton Hill, Waterside, and Baddesley to see the Garratt “William Francis”, and finally ironstone lines at Wroxton and Irchester.
