In the first part, we visit the Tetbury and Cirencester branches, the North Somerset line and other branch lines to the south and east of Bath. Plus Bulleid Light Pacifics at Honiton Tunnel on the South-Western Main Line, a Grange on a summer Saturday train, Stanier Coronation Class Pacific No.46251 “City of Nottingham” on a special (in superb external condition but only months from its demise) and a return to the Hemyock branch in Devon.

Industrial steam is seen next and very much at work in the ironstone industry. Plus (now preserved) outside cylindered Stephenson & Hawthorn 0-4-0ST “George” at British Celanese, Spondon and the three 0-6-0ST locomotives (Hudswell Clarke and Manning Wardles – all now preserved) working for the British Sugar Corporation at Wissington, Norfolk.
